We're excited to announce the release of KubeSlice Enterprise 1.16.0, which is live as of May 12, 2025. This version introduces new features and enhancements designed to improve efficiency, security, and user experience.
KubeSlice is a cloud-independent platform that combines network, application, Kubernetes, and deployment services in a framework to accelerate application deployment in a multi-cluster and multi-tenant environment. KubeSlice achieves this by creating logical application slice boundaries which allow pods and services to communicate seamlessly across clusters, clouds, edges, and data centers.
With this release, a default slice is automatically created when a new project is initiated. This feature allows all namespaces from registered clusters to be onboarded into a single slice, ensuring that cost details of all onboarded namespaces are captured by KubeTally.
For more information, see Create Project YAML.
Administrators can now configure namespace labeling and annotation directly within the KubeSlice Controller Helm chart. This enhancement provides better control and organization of user-defined namespaces.
For more information, see Create KubeSlice Controller YAML.
The KubeSlice Manager now supports UI proxy ingress configurations. Users can configure UI proxy ingress properties in the kubeslice-manager.yaml file during installation, facilitating better integration with existing network setups.
For more information, see Create KubeSlice Manager YAML.
This release marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing robust and user-friendly solutions for multi-cluster Kubernetes management. For detailed documentation, visit our KubeSlice Enterprise product documentation.
We encourage all users to upgrade to the latest version to take advantage of these new features and improvements.
