We're excited to announce the release of Smart Scaler 2.14.0, our latest update that is live as of May 9, 2025 is aimed at enhancing predictive scaling capabilities in Kubernetes environments. This version introduces new features and improvements designed to optimize resource utilization, reduce costs, and provide better visibility into your cluster operations.

What is Smart Scaler?

Smart Scaler is an enterprise-grade solution designed to address the complexities of Kubernetes scaling and resource management. It provides intelligent autoscaling capabilities that go beyond traditional Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) by considering multiple metrics simultaneously and making scaling decisions based on advanced algorithms.

Savings Report Dashboard 

A new Savings Report tab has been added to the Smart Scaler Management Console Dashboard. This feature provides insights into cost savings achieved through Smart Scaler's predictive scaling over the current month and forecasts for the next 12 months. It enables users to quantify the financial benefits of implementing Smart Scaler in their Kubernetes clusters.

Enhanced Dashboard Filtering 

The Overview tab of the Dashboard now includes cluster Location and Namespace drop-down filters. These additions allow users to narrow down the monitoring scope, facilitating more targeted analysis and management of specific clusters or namespaces.

Getting Started

Existing Smart Scaler users can upgrade to version 2.14.0 through our standard upgrade process. New users can install our Smart Scaler agent using Helm.
